BioTrek is now in the South Pacific and we review the last 2 months of our sailing adventures, including our rough Pacific Ocean crossing. We recorded this video from Moorea in the Society Islands, a region of French Polynesia that has had some controversial issues with cruising sailboats since the pandemic hit the region. After observing some shocking water pollution we conclude it is NOT coming from yachts but perhaps from overwater bungalows. Even so, with the tides and currents the water is always beautiful during the day. Despite the pollution at night issue, Moorea is a beautiful island with stunning scenery and super friendly people. This video is a summary of our last 2 months and we will follow with more detailed documentation of our sailing adventures.
