Once part of a system for transporting boats between Kyoto and Otsu, the Keage Incline allowed boats to be moved by trolley between lower and higher elevation parts of the canal. After falling out of use, it was reborn as a tourist destination and makes a beautiful walking path to enjoy blooming cherry blossoms! 🌸🛤️🌸
