During Spring, Maizuru Park turns into the city’s most pleasant spot for cherry blossom viewing. A number of walking paths are lined with cherry trees so that visitors can walk through a tunnel of flowers, and there are also plenty of lawned areas for holding “Hanami” parties under the blossoms.

Hanami is a Japanese custom which translates to the watching of flowers, Hana = Flower Mi = watching. The majority of people celebrate Hanami by eating food and drinking with close ones.

Come and enjoy the sights and sounds, smells and tastes, a festival you will surely never forget!

I went to Maizuru Park in Autumn also. During autumn, it’s so colorful. Check out the video.
