2022 was the first year the Kominka Japan group hosted this fantastic celebration of all things Minka, Komika, Akiya and Machiya – Old Traditional House renovations, reuse and preservation. This is a walk around the “Minka Mall” where craftspeople demonstrate carpentry and companies related to renovations and rural living are at the event.
It was a fabulous event I hope will be held every year to support many of us enthusiasts looking to reuse beautiful old Japanese homes for business, more sustainable living and to rebuild rural communities across Japan.
