About Ooshu Gama:
The first Mr. Ogushi opened the Ohide kiln in Okawachiyama, which was nurtured by this history and culture, and now the second generation Hidenori Ogushi succeeds the family and pursues the tradition of Nabeshima ware from the potter’s wheel to the painting.
In addition, Masahide Ogushi, the third generation, is working hard to make innovative celadon pottery that incorporates new expression techniques, making the most of his young sensibility.
At the Daishu kiln gallery “Tensei”, a wide range of works of art such as incense burners and vases that inherit the traditional technique of Nabeshima are exhibited, from the container of daily necessities of the Daishu kiln’s original celadon expression.
Please feel free to drop by when you come to Okawachiyama.
