Because the Swakop river touched the ocean, it’s catchment area had to have had some good rains. In the river’s catchment area there is a place called Blutkoppe, after the red colour it gets at sunset.
With the good rains there was water in the dam, and loads of greenery around.
Exploring a bit, the caves are an interesting feature of this inselberg. The other inselbergs have the same cave structure, and I am not convinced that it was carved by wind, with evidence.
