*DISCLAIMER* – This video was filmed back in October of 2020 so many of the time stamps will be wrong.

What’s going on guys and welcome back to the channel! Fantasy Island was and is an 85 acre amusement park located in Grand Island, New York. It featured a theme park and water park consisting of lots of rides and attractions; most notably their wooden CCI coaster, Silver Comet. However, due to mechanical issues, attendance, and understaffing, the park was closed in 2020 and left abandoned. Though not sitting long, the park was quickly put into ruins and as you can see in the video is quite an interesting place to explore. During the time I filmed this, October 2020, the fate of the park was still unknown, however as of the release date of this video, in May 2021, Gene Staples, owner of IB Parks & Entertainment, signed a long-term leasing agreement with STORE Capital to lease the site. Clementon Lake Park and Indiana Beach are likewise owned and operated by Staples. In August 2021, the park was renamed Niagara Amusement Park and Splash World and is set to reopen in 2022 along with Silver Comet. In the video you can see I point out multiple times that it could’ve potentially been relocated or salvaged in some way, but I’m glad it can stay where it is and I look forward to riding it when it reopens! Hope you all enjoyed the video and feel free to leave any questions down below! 😎🎢
