Known as “Tetsugaku no Michi” in Japanese, the Philosopher’s path is a popular local destination in the north-east of Kyoto!
It is named for Kitaro Nishida, a prominent philosopher who regularly came here during his time at Kyoto University, meditating as he walked alongside the Lake Biwa Canal. This is the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city and especially in Autumn with the colorful leaves, it is one of the best places to see them!!!!
