Hydrangea is a familiar feature that marks the arrival of the rainy season
The Japanese name for Hydrangea, comes from the word “Azusai”,
which means a collection of indigo blue materials.
The flower is known for changing its color according to the acidity of the soil.
When the soil is strongly acidic, the color tends to be blue, and when strongly
alkaline, it changes to a reddish color.
