Echigo Yuzawa, the station next to Gala Yuzawa, one of the famous skiing area in Japan.
From Tokyo by Shinkansen you could reach in 1hour 30minutes.
In front of station there are free footbath, please try it when you visit. (don’t forget to bring your own towel or handkerchief!)

Echigo Yuzawa also called as 雪国 (Yuki Guni) or snow country. Here one of Japan famous Novelist, Kawabata Yasunari wrote his masterpiece book ‘yuki guni’.
