How Japanese Kokeshi Dolls Are Made

When we went to Aomori we passed by the museum of Kokeshi and we are lucky to see how it is made. I apologize, since it takes a lot of time to make it so we were not able to wait for it until its done. But in the museum they have an area where you can design your own Kokeshi. By the way, those who don’t know what is Kokeshi dolls, they are Japanese wooden dolls with no arms and legs. They use to be toys for children but now mostly tourist bought it as a souvenir because of it unique designs. I hope you will enjoy watching the variety of designs and sizes of kokeshi dolls.
