We had the seasonal “Ise-Shima Roman” dinner (伊勢志摩浪漫) at Amanemu (アマネム), an Aman Resort located in Ise-Shima region of Mie Prefecture, Japan. Below is a description of the courses that were served, in both English and Japanese.
COURSE 1 – Sasoi (誘い – Appetizers):
* Oo Asari Shira-ae (大浅利白和え – Clam with Cream Cheese and Caviar)
* Jikasei Karasumi Daikon (自家製唐墨大根 – Homemade Mullet Roe with Daikon Radish)
* Hoshiko (ほしこ – Dried Layers of Sea Cucumber Ovaries)
* Ankimo Ponzu (あん肝ポン酢 – Monkfish Liver Paste with Ponzu Sauce)
COURSE 2 – Wan (椀 – Soup):
* Yaki Anori Fugu, Fugu Shirako, Kabuse Daikon (焼き安乗ふぐ, 被せ大根 – Grilled Fugu, Fugu Milt, Thinly Sliced Daikon Radish on top)
COURSE 3 – Shinogi (凌ぎ – Shinogi Appetizer):
* Ise Maguro to Uni Tekone Sushi (伊勢鮪と雲丹のてこね寿司 – Marinated Ise Tuna and Sea Urchin Sushi)
COURSE 4 – Tsukuri (造り – Assorted Sashimi):

* Aori Ika (青利烏賊 – Bigfin Reef Squid)

COURSE 5 – Kaisen Ryori (海鮮料理 – Seafood Selection):

COURSE 7 – Wagyu Sumibiyaki (和牛炭火焼 – Meat Selection):
