Welcome to my 1st Japan travel vlog. This is a quite vanilla vlog of me visiting Japan’s most innovative zoo – Asahiyama Zoo in Hokkaido, Japan. If you love seafood and traditional Japanese cuisine, there’s a big sashimi (raw seafood) feast waiting for you too!
This is day 1 of our 3-day travel to Hokkaido – Japan’s northernmost island. On this day, we visited Asahiyama Zoo, the 2nd most popular zoo in Japan despite locating in the northernmost. It is famous for unique facilities that display animals IN ACTION, such as seals passing through tube, hippos flying gracefully in giant tank…
Hokkaido is famous for its seafood and milk production, which ranks No.1 in Japan for both quantity and quality. Therefore, we had dinner at Kofuji , a famous local restaurant that serves top-quality seafood dishes. Their raw sea urchin and whole halibut simmered in soysauce were so delicious that we swore to come back someday lol.
