Kanda Myojin Shrine is easily accessible from Ochanomizu and Akihabara Stations.
There are three divine spirits enshrined at Kanda Myojin –
Daikoku-ten, who is shown smiling with a large golden mallet, is associated with wealth and the household.
Ebisu is the God of fishermen, working men and childrens health.
Daikoku-ten and Ebisu are two of the Seven Gods of Fortune, making Kanda Myojin a place to pray for success in business and entrepreneurship as it is believed to bring luck in business, family, finding a future spouse, protection from bad luck and competition.
Taira no Masakado was a rebel samurai whose strength and defiance earned him deification is the third enshrined god. The vermillion lacquered main hall that appears after passing through the gateway is a spectacular sight, well worth visiting. #shiawasetravels #japan
