Renting a Car in Japan (Part 2) – Rest Stop Food Court and Tokyo Bay Hotel

We rented a Mazda 2 compact car for $68 base rate a day, drove from Tokyo 東京 to Fujiyoshida 富士吉田市 and then back to a different hotel by the Tokyo Bay, total 280Km round trip.

Visited a rest stop on the way back to Tokyo and experienced the best Japans has to offer on the Expressway.
– Rental $99 including tax and insurance
– Tolls $97
– Gas 40
Total $237 for a family of 3 to have a road trip to experience driving in Japan and freedom of the road.

We ended our journey at the APA Hotel ＆ Resort by the Tokyo Bay.
