From an important Post Station on the Nagasaki-kaido during the Edo era to the birthplaces of Japanese porcelain, this two-part video gives you a peek into what a deluxe, Kilekile Tour by Fukuoka Hire Service (Daito group) has to offer.
In part one, the video takes you to one of the former post towns on the Nagasaki-kaido, Uchino-shuku (内野宿) and features part of the stone road that still remains today.
Also featured in this video:
– An old house of coal mine baron Denemon Ito and his second wife, a cousin of Emperor Taisho and poet Byakuren Yanagihara
– Restaurant Aogiri:
– Agano ware; a form of pottery produced around the town of Fukuchi in Fukuoka prefecture
– Tagawa City Coal and History Museum
Note 1: The captioning “Uchino Hotel” you find in this video is due to a translation error. The correct English terminology is “Uchino-shuku.”
Note 2: “Hotel Kura” is not in operation at this moment.
