Celebrate New Year’s Eve 2021 in Abu Dhabi with record-breaking fireworks
Looking for a seriously massive fireworks display this New Year’s Eve? The Sheikh Zayed Festival is attempting to set three Guinness World Records with the largest 40-minute fireworks display in terms of volume, duration and form. Boom.
You can kick off the New Year 2022 with a gigantic fireworks display, folkloric entertainment and performances at the Sheikh Zayed Festival – sound good?
The festival will also organise a giant drone show that will hover over the skies of Al Wathba using 2022 drones. It will be first show of its kind and magnitude in the world. There will also be a musical concert featuring Aida Al Menhali and Iraqi singer Ali Saber.
Looking for something to do with the kids? The NYE celebration in Abu Dhabi will include loads of events and shows for the little ones, including theatre shows and circus performances. There will be games at Funfair City and entertainment at Al Forsan International Sports resort going from 4pm to 1am.
You can also walk between the various pavilions of participating countries and celebrate with carnival performances, international art and cultural shows and traditional songs and dances. Have your eyes peeled for the Emirati heritage dances, such as the Al Yola and Al Razfa, which will be performed by leading Emirati performers.
