Senjokuzure is a rare geological formation in Shikaoi Town, located along the road going to Lake Shikaribetsu. It was formed from igneous rocks that crumbled and accumulated on the slope of Mt. Nishi-Nupukaushinupuri. Various alpine plants can be seen growing in the area. It is also a known habitat for small mammals called pika.
