足立区北千住は住みたい街ランキングにも選ばれる人気のエリアです。
特徴は商店街の多さと充実したショッピングセンターです。
駅前には飲屋街もあり、飲み歩きができるのも特徴の一つです。
激安のお惣菜やがあったり、おしゃれなカフェがあったり、レトロなお店があったり、
いろんな良さが混ざった街です。

かつては江戸最大の宿場町として栄た街でもあり、
宿場町通りという商店街もあります。

今回の目的である、柳原千草園は
四季の花が楽しめる公園で北千住駅から歩いて行けます。
