“I was lucky enough to enjoy Valentino’s last laps for the whole way as I was riding behind him. Before the race, I didn’t want to be involved in anything that could upset his final race, but when I found myself behind him, I just enjoyed it. It was really, really fast, and difficult to overtake. At the end of the race, he made a step also, he accelerated his pace – it was just amazing!”
