Nakameguro is a popular area and definitely one of my favorite spots.
In the Springtime, during Hanami (Cherry blossom) season, pink flowers line up along Nakameguro river and many people walk along the river for several blocks enjoying the scenery with food and drinks.
The area, in general, is great when it comes to eating and drinking, considering most of my favorite restaurants are located in this area.
On this video, you’ll find that around the 4:35 mark, there’s a restaurant “Makahala” (though not named in the episode itself) that the late, great, Anthony Bourdain ate at with his sushi chef friend, Naomichi Yasuda.
Also marked in this video is the Starbucks Reserve Roasters Tokyo which is a pretty cool building and worth walking into to check out if you’re in the area.
Nakameguro is an amazing area and if you’re in Tokyo, definitely worth a visit, especially since its a short ride from Shibuya, which is always a popular spot
This is during the day but at night it is a different world. Stay tuned to see my upcoming video of that.
I will do some videos of a walk around in my favorite areas of Yokohama and Tokyo, since I think both cities are amazing, and worth having videos to save for my future self. My only regret not starting sooner.
