The Kennon Road originally known as the Benguet Road is one of the best and greatly admired mountain highways in the world today. The highway was inaugurated on July 4, 1905 and renamed to the Kennon Road in 2005. This highway was renamed after US Army Col. Lyman W. Kennon of Rhode Island out of respect for his leadership and ability to oversee the construction of the road with the help of the Filipino people and a 4000 multi national workforce.

Take a ride with us as we drive along the highway from Camp 1 through Camp 6. A peaceful and beautiful canyon ride. Some sections of the highway are undergoing construction and repair right now after several weather related mud and rock slides.

We apologize in advance for the camera quality. Not sure why the GoPro 9 did this and someday we’ll go back and capture better video to show the incredible beauty we observed while driving this highway.
