A large weather front, formed from a “baroclinic leaf”, came through the Puget Sound region. After the heavy (and I mean heavy) down pours ended, it looked like there might be a chance for some spectacular sunset photos. When these events happen, I think you just have to get out there and make the best of them. In my case, the great sunset didn’t shape up, but it didn’t stop me from capturing a few images. In this video I step through some of my thoughts of composition, doing it live so you can hear my thought process.
