“When The Costume Institute was founded, one of the ambitions was to support and highlight the creative efforts of American designers and we thought this was the perfect way to celebrate a young, independent, trans jewelry designer’s work,” says makeup artist @sandyganzer of the @adalioryn brooch adhered to @hunterschafer’s face at the #MetGala. The finished look was “a little bit late 90s grunge, a pinch of playful dystopian sci-fi, and just a sprinkle of romantic horror.”
