Summer Serier Episode-8: Mount Fuji(Fuji San) is with 3776meters, Japan’s tallest mountain. Mount Fuji is an active Volcano, which most recently erupted in 1707. It is situated in between Yamanashi and Shizuoka prefecture can be seen from Tokyo and Yokohama on clear days. Early July to mid September is the official climbing season when trails and mountain facilities are open. Climbing Mount Fuji is very popular not only among Japanese but also Foreigners. Mount Fuji is divided into ten stations with the first station at the foot of the mountain and tenth station being the summit. There are four fifth station on different sides of the mountain from where most people start their ascent. We took Fuji Subaru line 5th station, Yoshida trail.Ascent- 5-7 hours and descent – 4-5 hour.
