静かに巡る熊野本宮大社　Quietly tour the Kumano Hongu Taisha Shrine（Hongu-cho, Tanabe City, Wakayama）

星空を見るために熊野川・音無川・岩田川の合流点にある大斎原に訪れました。
日本一の大鳥居があります。ここには明治22年（1889年）まで熊野本宮大社がありましたが、水害が本宮大社の社殿を呑み込み、生き残った4社を現在の熊野本宮大社がある場所に遷座したそうです。

I visited Daisaihara at the confluence of the Kumano, Otonashi, and Iwata rivers to see the starry sky.
There is the largest torii gate in Japan. There was Kumano Hongu Taisha here until 1889, but the flood damage swallowed the main shrine of the main shrine, and it seems that the four surviving companies were relocated to the place where the current Kumano Hongu Taisha is.
