This time, I walked around the shopping street in Shihoro Town. Shihoro Town is about 40km north of Obihiro. It is a small town with a population of about 6000 and is a thriving dairy farming town. It’s been 100 years since the town was built, but the town itself doesn’t feel old. The sidewalk is wide and well maintained. Since there are no tall buildings, you can feel the vastness of the Tokachi Plain.

今回は、士幌町の商店街を歩いてみました。士幌町は帯広から北へ約40kmのところにあります。人口は約6000人の小さな町で、酪農が盛んな町です。町が作られてから100年になるそうですが、町自体は古さを感じさせません。歩道が広く、綺麗に整備された通りです。高い建物がないため、十勝平野の広大さを感じることが出来る町です。
