Hey guys!! Last week I went on a 5 day trip with my friend to explore Niigata prefecture. Unfortunately, we were beset by pretty unfortunate weather for most of the trip, but I’m glad we were able to make the most out of it and explore what we could 💕

If you’ve never traveled to rural Japan, then you’ve really missed out on how half the country lives. I highly encourage you to fit in even a day trip out to a less-populated place and experience the countryside, or inaka, of Japan!!

This trip really reminded me how genuinely nice everyone in the countryside is. People in Tokyo are nice, but a lot of it is surface level, while the niceness you experience in the countryside is much more genuine 😇

Also, let me just say, I have GOT TO go back to Sado Island!! There was so much more we wanted to do but couldn’t! Could’ve spent the entire trip there!! It was a really amazing place and I highly recommend it (if you can rent a car)!!!
