New Yokohama City Hall located to the west of Yokohama I-Land Tower. The high rise tower is characterized by its striking verticality and environmentally responsive white façade that symbolizes Yokohama’s rich history in silk exports while maintaining harmony with its surrounding buildings, including the adjacent I-Land Tower. The podium is conceived like a city street with an open atmosphere that dynamically engages pedestrians to circulate through and around the building, thus enhancing the City Hall’s civic activities.
