This was my first hike of the year and also my first hike on a snowy mountain. There were a few slips and falls, but this was one of my favorite hikes because of how beautiful it was with the white snow on the green leaves of the trees guiding me along to the summit. There were also MANY jizo statues that lined the trail – too many to count even though I tried. I haven’t seen snow in six years and I didn’t realize how much I missed it. It was a nice treat for the new year.
