[Please Subscribe and check out my other 3DVR and 2D content ….with more to come!!] During the Olympics 2020 opening ceremony we were on a Japan road trip north from Niigata to Aomori all the wayup to Takayama Inari Shrine
高山稲荷神社 to see and experience a walk through the 1000 Torii.
This is one of the dream places I’ve wanted to see since living here in Japan!
It is a place that is far away for most to visit and therefore fairly quite but during covid times AND since most glued to TVs watching Olympics we pretty much had the whole place to ourselves!
I am still trying to iron out the bugs in capturing 360 VR experiences.. I was going to bring my bigger 3D camera but it is all a little much to drag around everywhere. We also tried another technique tilting camera forward but I think that really affected the results. Although accessible as far as paths are concerned it is WAY too steep to do journey without assistance. Even with.. the hill back is too much for anyone to help push! I had to get out of my chair and scale the stairs while my wife carried my chair up hill!
If you can manage it… I highly suggest you add this location to you “must see” destinations!
Be sure to take coastal route (at least) from Fukaura and starting with a stop at Ebisu Shrine 恵比須神社 ! There are many breathtaking rock formations to take in along the way!
