We went on a short trip to Wakayama last holidays. This is the Day 1 of the trip.
We go a train on Nankai Line from Osaka to Kada city, in Wakayama prefecture.
From Kada, we need to get a ferry to the island. The first ferry starts from 9 AM, we got there in time, but it was already sold out. We had to wait for the next one at 10 AM.
At the island, they have only one restaurant and area with vending machines, so we decided to have lunch earlier and explore the island later, since it’d be crowded during lunch time.
After having lunch, we headed to the 2nd Battery Ruins, which you can only look from the outside.
After that, we climbed the hill to the Lighthouse. It was though for me, since it was very hot. Make sure to take a lot of water and use sunscreen if you go there, specially in the summer like we did.
The next stop we wanted to see is the 3rd Battery Ruins, on the way we stopped on a small observatory. This was the hardest trail, but totally worth it. You can get inside the fort, and explore around. The underground tunnels were quite refreshing.
Then we headed back to the start point, had some ice-cream and waited for the ferry. The last ferry is at 4 PM, so we had to be careful not to lose it.
At the end of the day, we headed to our hotel at Wakayama city.

The day 2 of this video will be published later, we explored Wakayama castle.

This video was shot on a iPhone 12 Pro Max on 4k with Dolby Vision HDR and On a Insta360 ONE X2 on HDR mode.
