日本が世界に誇る、島ごと廃墟の世界文化遺産、
長崎の端島、通称軍艦島をご紹介します！
■軍艦島(端島)
高度経済成長期やバブル期に建設され廃墟化した建物に、
平成のレトロブームと共に廃墟にノスタルジーを感じる、
通称、「廃墟マニア」が確立してから、
恐らく日本一有名な廃墟と言っても過言ではない、軍艦島。
海底炭鉱で栄え、全盛期には5300人もの島民を抱え、
人口密度は当時の東京都の9倍。
やがて産業革命により、石炭から石油へエネルギーが変わると、
出炭量も人口も減り、1973年には無人島へ。
そのまま静かに眠っていた軍艦島だが、
近年のレトロブームや、廃墟マニアの確立、
カメラやインターネットの普及により、
徐々に知名度を上げ、2015年、世界文化遺産登録。
元々、日本の木造建築は痛みやすいため、
廃墟は明治以降に建てられた建造物の物が多いが、
剥き出しの鉄工や、アスベスト等による危険性、
不良の溜まり場や、犯罪者・逃亡者が住み着いていた例もあり、
周辺環境への治安維持などを考慮され、近年、取り壊しも多い。
また廃墟探索は時に、不法侵入罪になる事も多く、
安心して廃墟探索を楽しめるとは言い難い。
そんな中、島ごと廃墟の軍艦島は、
台風被害による破損は年々目立ってはいるものの、
長年眠りについていただけあり、
ある意味ではとても綺麗に残っている廃墟であると同時に、
日本の近代成長を支えた貴重な痕跡であり、
後世に残したい、産業遺産と言える！！
私が最も推したいポイントは、
日本の高度経済成長期の日本はもっと良くなる！！
と国民が信じ、勢いがあった日本の残響を感じられる部分にある！
途中、廃墟に魅了された私情も挟んでいるが、

→廃墟及び、工場、廃村、廃校など多くの寂れた魅力にハマる
・「軍艦島」との出会い
→2019年ツアーがスタートし、上陸する
