On July 17th, 2021, My friend Mahendren and I visited Koishikawa Korakue Gardens in Tokyo. It is located just beside the Tokyo Dome entertainment in Bunkyo ward. The nearest station is Korakuan Station. It’s near the Jimbocho book district. This garden is magnificent, and dates from 1629. We encountered a giant suppon (Asian soft shelled turtle), which can be very ill tempered and dangerous. Later, we went to a Cantonese style restaurant in Jimbocho called Etsuko-Bishoku – The fire alarm was triggered while we were eating, and the fire department came to investigate.
