This time, I walked around the shopping street in Numata Town. Numata Town is located about 120km northeast of Sapporo. It is a small town with a population of about 3000 people. It is a town known as the Andon Festival and Firefly Village. When I walked from the front of Numata station, there weren’t many shops, but old buildings remained and it was a very quaint cityscape. Due to covid-19, the Andon Festival will be canceled this year, but I would like to see it someday.

今回は、沼田町の商店街を歩いてみました。沼田町は札幌から北東へ約120kmのところに位置します。人口は約3000人の小さな町です。あんどん祭りやほたるの里として知られています。沼田駅前から歩いてみたところ、商店は多くはありませんが、古い建物が残っており、趣のある商店街でした。残念ながらコロナウイルスのため今年もあんどん祭りは中止となりましたが、いつか見てみたいです。
