This time, I walked around the main street shopping street in Tobetsu Town. Tobetsu Town is 20km northeast of Sapporo. The population is about 18,000, which is a large number for a town in Hokkaido. There are many young people because of the university and the residential area of Sweden House. The street in front of the station is in good condition. This shopping street is an old-fashioned shopping street. Tobetsu of the old age still remains. The scenery of shops lined up on both sides of a small street does not seem to be a shopping street in Hokkaido. I want this shopping street to remain as it is.

今回は、当別町の本通り商店街を歩いてみました。当別町は札幌から北東へ20kmのところにあります。人口は約18000人と、北海道の町としては多い方です。大学やスウェーデンハウスの住宅街があるため、比較的若い人が多い印象です。駅前の通りは綺麗に整備されています。今回のこの商店街は昔ながらの商店街です。古い時代の当別がまだ残っています。小さな通りの両側に商店が並んでいる風景は、北海道の商店街ではないように見えます。この商店街がいつまでもこのままでいてほしいです。
