This is Part 2 of our Kansai road trip 🚗
(In Part 1 we make the drive from Tokyo to Mie and stopped by some really beautiful spots so check it out if you haven’t yet! –
Day 2: We visit Ise Grand Shrine and checked out the really cool shopping streets leading up to the shrine. There were all sorts of interesting finds. We even tried some delicious Matsusaka beef and then had Akafuku (a famous local specialty) for dessert. We didn’t know this before heading there but Matsusaka beef is a Top 3 Japanese Wagyu and definitely deserves it’s spot 😋
Despite it being quite the gloomy day we managed to get in all we wanted to do before the heavy downpour had us call it a day.
On day 3 we drove to the famous Nachi Falls: one of Japan’s 3 Great Falls and the tallest waterfall in all of Japan! Super super cool place – the nearby temple and shrine (Seiganto-ji and Kumano Taisha) were really cool as well – and we had an amazing time. The waterfall was super impressive at 133m and the area had a really magical vibe to it✨ We think it might just be our favorite of the 3 Great Falls.
We even saw some snow that day, watch to find out why 😂 The next day we went on a really nice hike before heading back to Tokyo but that will be in another video so stay tuned! Thanks for watching!
