With over 200 years of history, Iizukatei was the home of the wealthy Iizuka family, now renovated in to a unique boutique hotel. Iizukatei fuses sophisticated modern interiors with traditional architecture and is just a few hours drive north of Tokyo, in serene Nakagawa-machi, a small town in the north-east of Tochigi Prefecture.

We stayed in the Hontaku 本宅 Room for two nights. The room with no breakfast cost ¥55000 and can accommodate up to 4 persons. Breakfast can be ordered separately at ¥1100 and dinner for ¥4400. The hotel offers 6 different types of rooms.
