Mimurotoji Temple is located in Uji area, south from Kyoto. It was founded in 770 by Emperor Konin. The main hall was rebuilt in 1814 and is a stunning multi-story gabled building. Yoraku-en is a strolling style 4 acres garden. In June, 20,000 hydrangeas are in full bloom in this garden. For this reason, it is also known as “Azisai Dera” (the Hydrangea Temple).
三室戸寺は京都の南、宇治に位置します。770年に光仁（こうにん)天皇によって創建されました。現在の重層の入母屋造の重厚な本堂は1814年に再建されたものです。回遊式の庭園「与楽園」は5,000坪の広さので、6月には２万株のアジサイが咲き誇ります。このため「あじさい寺」の愛称で親しまれています。
