Prior to leaving Japan, I went scuba diving in Japan for the first time and went down to the Izu peninsula for 2 awesome days exploring the ocean. Izu is super accessible from Tokyo and only a couple hours away by train and features many amazing diving spots. The ocean was abundant with various sea life and was lucky to see all sorts of fish, crustaceans, eels, and much more. Each day I went to a different location, which consisted of two dives, full equipment rental, and an accompanying instructor.
