日本の伝統的な数寄屋建築をご紹介します。
「数寄屋建築」・「数寄屋造り」、などと呼ばれ、茶事を目的として建てられた日本の建築様式のひとつです。
数寄（すき）とは、「好き」ともかけられており、
和歌や茶の湯をはじめとして風流なことを好むことを指しており、数寄屋(すきや)とは「好みに任せて作った家」という意味があります。
数寄屋が誕生したのは、安土桃山時代。
千利休の時代から続く「侘び寂び」という和の美しさが詰まっており、現代の住宅にも脈々と受け継がれている部分も多々あります。
今回は名古屋市にある古川美術館さんが運営されている「数寄屋cafe」を取材させていただきました。
こちらの数奇屋造りの一部には、くつろぎのカフェスペースがあるのです。
とても広い敷地でしたので、数本に分けての投稿となります。

Traditional Japanese sukiya architecture is introduced here.
This is one of the Japanese architectural styles called “Sukiya-zukuri”, which was built for the purpose of tea ceremony.
The word “suki” also means “like.
“Sukiya”a house built according to one’s taste”, referring to the taste for elegant things such as waka poetry and tea ceremony.
Sukiya was born in the Azuchi-Momoyama period.
It is filled with the Japanese beauty of “wabi-sabi” that has been around since the time of Sen no Rikyu, and there are many aspects of it that have been passed down to modern homes.
We covered the “Sukiya-Cafe”, operated by the “Furukawa Museum” in Nagoya City.
Part of the sukiya structure is a relaxing cafe space.
It was a very large place, so this article is divided into several parts.
