In 2005, Aichi Prefecture was host to the World EXPO, featuring 121 participant countries and regions, and welcoming over 22 million visitors. The theme to the six-month international exhibition was “Nature’s Wisdom”, focusing on ecological co-existence, renewable energy technology and the wonders of nature.
