Kameido Ten Shrine
Our shrine, dedicated to Michizane Sugawara, is widely known as the Tenjin Shrine of downtown Tokyo.
It is well known and loved by many people.
In the past, the shrine was called “Higashi-Zaifu Tenmangu Shrine” or “Kameido-Zaifu Tenmangu Shrine” as it was located in the east of Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine in Kyushu, the headquarters of the shrine.

亀戸天神社
菅原道真公をお祀りする当社は下町の天神さまとして広く知れわたり、
多くの方々に親しまれております。
古くはご本社にあたります九州太宰府天満宮に対して東の宰府として「東宰府天満宮」、あるいは「亀戸宰府天満宮」と称されておりましたが、明治6年に東京府社となってより亀戸神社と号し、昭和11年に現在の亀戸天神社と正称いたしました。
