The nostalgic Oigawa Railway runs along the Oi River in Shizuoka Prefecture. This is the only place in Japan where a steam locomotive runs every day. I opted for an old school train on it’s second life. Round trip between Shin-Kanaya to Ieyama.

Ieyama Station was one of the original stations of the Ōigawa Main Line, and was opened on December 1, 1929. The line is still using nostalgic hard paper tickets that get punched at the ticket gate.
