Every year from the end of April to the beginning of May, the flower festival is held at Hitsujiyama Park in Chichibu City, Saitama Prefecture. It takes about an hour and a half from Ikebukuro to Yokoze or Seibu-Chichibu station by wonderful express train, and then it’s a 20-minute walk from there. I recommend going to the park from Yokoze station and taking the train from Seibu Chichibu station on the way back just like I did. There are many great places in the area, so you may want to stay a few days in Chichibu.
I didn’t mention it in this video, but hitsuji means sheep, and there are sheep in the park!
