📍Hiroshima and Miyajima Island

ℹ️Hiroshima is the largest city in the Chugoku region of Japan. It’s home to Hiroshima style okonomiyaki, the Hiroshima Memorial Peace Museum, and Hiroshima castle (originally built in the 1500s). Miyajima Island has many beautiful and famous shrines, including Itsukushima shrine, which has the famous floating torii gate.

💬 Back in May 2019, my friends and I were just coming back from a great 10 day golden week vacation in Tokyo. We got bit by the travel bug and decided to go to Hiroshima a few weeks later (after finding out that the famed floating torii gate was going to be under construction for a few years starting June 2019). We spent a lovely, fun, and busy day there! 😊✨
