Shiga-Kustasu 292
Shiga Kusatsu Kogen Route of the national route 292, a 41-km mountain road that connects Yudanaka/Shibu Onsen in Nagano with Kusatsu Onsen in Gunma. The route includes the highest point of the country’s national roads (2,172 meters above sea level) and offers breathtaking views throughout the four seasons. In winter, it closes between mid-November and the end of April the following year but reopens by the end of April in time for the Golden Week holidays. This is the time when you can enjoy driving through the snow corridor with your very own car.
