Iriomote Island is most famous for the lush vegetation, the mangroves, the waterfalls and caves that you are supposed to visit here and that’s why we chose this hotel to have an easy access especially to the UTARA TANKO COALMINE ruins in the jungle and Hoshizuna Beach with the most rare sand in the world made of tiny stars! However the Hotel IL Mare and sister company Villa Unarizaki are right next to the Cape and Park Unarizaki, that has some stunning trekking paths and beautiful white Beaches, secluded and private, that we sadly didn’t have time to get to, but would totally urge you to reserve your time to go there!!! our room at Il Mare Hotel was very clean and luckily situated at the very top, so we had the stunning view over the entire Bay and the breakfast buffet was very nice too! staffs were all very nice and although the pool is not situated in the yard of this hotel, you are allowed to go to the sister company’s Villa Unarizaki’s pool! although it was kind of small so I would rather recommend you to check all the beautiful beaches around! The area is famous for diving too! γγγ«γ€γ«γγΌγ¬γ¦γγͺγΆγ
