The Shinkyogoku shopping street is located in the center of Kyoto and is a busy shopping street connecting Sanjo Street to Shijo Street.
The street is about 550 meters (601yd) long, and both sides of the street are lined with souvenir shops, restaurants, and clothing stores.
In this video, we start from the intersection of Shinkyogoku and Sanjo streets at the northern end of the street, and walk to the intersection of Shinkyogoku and Shijo streets at the southern end.
At the intersection of Shinkyogoku-dori and Shijo-dori, there is an entrance to Hankyu Kyoto Kawaramachi Station.
On the way, we will pass by Nishiki Market, the kitchen of Kyoto.
