Wakayama Castle is one of the many castle across Japan that have its own story, it was captured by Toyotomi Hideyoshi ( Owner of Osaka Castle) in 1500’s, ( he starve all the people in the Castle , it was then named OTA castle, eventually, the castle owner, with his SAMURAI’s, monks, and peasants force to surrender. as Toyotomi flooded the castle created 3 dams on 3 sides of the castle and diverted the river towards the castle – so the castle then was ruined. and eventually when Hideyoshi’s Shugonate defeated from Tokugawa’s Shugonate this castle too fell under the Tokugawa’s.
This castle has its fair share of Japan’s History, this is now a very famous place to visit during SAKURA ( cherry blossoms) on spring.
The exhibition inside the castle are just few of the remaining artifacts, as this castle was bring down to ground zero during the 2nd World War.
